In Eleusis

i ‘Under thought’s topology’

Threshold of day,
a change upon the air
alone; the light
has not yet come
but is not far. Soon
undraped monuments
shall re-order space,
a city show itself
and pediments
be outlined. Soon
we shall know
the orders of the tongue
in which we speak.

Under thought’s topology
the mind is in Eleusis.
